Our work includes:

Applied research – qualitative, quantitative and mixed-methods studies that illuminate adult learners’ experiences, barriers to enrollment and persistence and motivations for completion.

Re-entry effort evaluation – rigorous evaluation of statewide adult learner re‑engagement efforts. We examine implementation, learner experiences, institutional capacity and outcomes to understand what works, for whom and under what conditions. Our evaluation insights help colleges refine their strategies and inform state and system-level decisions about scaling and sustainability.

Communities of practice – learning networks that allow practitioners to share strategies, test innovations and build institutional capacity.

Leadership support and professional development – tailored insights, tools and resources that help college leaders and practitioners design adult-friendly systems, structures and policies. 

Policy translation – clear, timely evidence that informs state and system-level decision-making and aligns policy with on-the-ground happenings. 

Storytelling and data dissemination – research briefs, publications, guidebooks and presentations that center adult learner voices and highlight effective practices.
